Ashot Papoyan Advances Biotech in US and Armenia

Born in Yerevan and educated in Armenia and at Cornell University, Dr. Ashot Papoyan has built a career uniting biology, computation, and innovation across borders. As Chief Scientific Operations Officer at Deep Origin, he oversees technology development and wet lab operations spanning eleven time zones—connecting global teams working toward the shared goal of advancing scientific understanding through simulation and discovery.

A lifelong scientist and entrepreneur, Dr. Papoyan previously co-founded and led several biotechnology ventures and remains deeply committed to supporting education and research within the Armenian scientific community. He serves as co-chair of the Armenian National Science and Education Fund (ANSEF) and helped found the Armenian Biotech Group of Boston, fostering mentorship and collaboration among scientists worldwide.
